Looking for wedding night room decoration ideas that go beyond rose petals on the bed? White balloons, little photo displays and glowing canopies give you plenty to choose from.
There are simple bedside touches here too if you don’t want to decorate the whole room.
You can keep it simple or go all out. Pick the colors you love, then decide whether you want flowers, lights or something more personal.
A few of these pictures offer details to borrow rather than complete bedroom setups.
Wedding night decorations worth saving
red and blush petals
We’re starting off with this pretty red and blush petal combination. I love the darker petals arranged in a heart against the white bedding.
The little bedside arrangement brings those same colors off the bed.
Try a loose scattering of pale petals around your heart rather than filling every space.

a glowing petal path
How pretty is this entrance? Red petals run down the hallway between two rows of little lights. You don’t need a big floral arrangement when the path itself is the decoration.
For your version, choose battery-operated tea lights and leave a clear walking route.
swans with a blue bow
These folded swans are so cute! Their curved necks make a heart above a little flower arrangement, with a bright blue wrap and white bow in the middle.

If you want this detail without covering the bed in decorations, let the swans sit on plain white bedding like they do here.
white balloons and hanging roses
I am obsessed with the little white roses hanging beneath these balloons. The ribbons fall at different lengths above the bed, with more white balloons scattered below.
Keep your own version all white if you love this look. There’s already plenty going on without adding another color.
a canopy full of lights
If you are looking for an all-out bedroom setup, then this one is for you. Strings of golden lights run overhead and down behind the bed.
Red petals cover the center of the white bedding.
I especially love the canopy gathered to the side. For a similar setup, use lights rated for the arrangement and keep all draping clear of the ceiling fan.
pink petals in ice
Who says the drinks corner can’t be part of the decor? This bottle sits in a bowl of ice with pink petals inside the cubes. It’s such a pretty little detail.
Try the same presentation with your favorite celebratory drink. Keep decorative flower ice for chilling the bottle rather than adding it to glasses.
black and white newlywed pillows
Don’t want to go overboard with flowers or balloons? No problem!
These black pillows with white “Mr” and “Mrs” lettering give the bed a wedding detail without changing the whole room.
I love the layers of black and white pillows behind them. Choose wording that suits you both if you’re trying this idea.
a hallway of red hearts
This is another petal-path idea, but the heart balloons make it a little different. They float at different heights along both sides of the hallway, with long red ribbons reaching toward the floor.
Keep the balloon weights near the walls in your own setup so the entrance stays easy to walk through.
pink flowers above the bed
This floral display may just be my favorite one so far. Pale pink, deep pink and cream flowers sweep across the wall and down one side of the bed.
The little flower garland on the headboard is adorable too.
For a smaller version, try one securely mounted floral arrangement above the headboard instead of covering the whole corner.
petals around the bath
Bring the red petal theme into the bathroom with this bubble-bath setup. Small lights line the tub while a red-and-white bouquet sits beside it.
There are even petals scattered over the bubbles.
I’d borrow the decorated tub edge rather than the crowded floor. Use flameless lights away from the water and keep the floor clear.
glowing letters and hearts
Love the glowing letters? This picture shows a proposal display in an open car trunk, not a wedding-night room.
The “MARRY ME” banner and light-up hearts belong to that setup.
For your bedroom, borrow the illuminated-letter idea with your initials or a small “love” sign on a dresser instead.
a waterfall of tiny lights
I love this white canopy with its cluster of tiny lights hanging in the middle. The long draping surrounds the bed while the bedding stays plain.
It is just so pretty without any petals.
If you’re planning something similar, check the room’s hanging rules first and use a properly secured canopy with suitable lights.
berries and chocolate
How good does this look? Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and grapes fill the board around upright chocolate squares and little piles of nuts.
This is a snack display rather than a room setup, but you could borrow it for a side table. I’d keep the bright berries and chocolate as the main details.
a tray with sweet treats
This is such a cute way to bring a few little touches together. Two filled flutes sit beside strawberry skewers with a dark drizzle, rolled towels tied with bows and scattered red petals.
The red flowers by the bed match the tray beautifully. For your own arrangement, keep decorative petals separate from the food.
floating candles and pearl-like beads
If you love simple table decorations, save this one. Three clear cylinders at different heights hold floating candles above pearl-like beads.
I love how the pale beads catch the light.
For a bedroom version, choose floating LED candles and place the vessels on a steady surface away from the bed.
gold balloons and red roses
Want to go all out with the balloons? This gold-and-white ceiling display gives you plenty of inspiration.
Red roses hang from long gold-colored ribbons above an ornate headboard.
The personalized lettering makes the wall part of the decoration too. Try your names or initials if you want to adapt that detail for both of you.
photos along a light strand
This is one of my favorite personal touches on the list. Small clips hold couple photos along a glowing strand of bulbs.
There’s no need for a big backdrop here.
Choose a few pictures you both love and use a photo-display light strand as directed, keeping the prints clear of the bulbs.
a wall of love notes
How sweet is this envelope wall? Pink, burgundy and pale envelopes sit in rows, with white heart seals on some and cards or photos peeking out of others.
Try filling your own envelopes with little notes for each other. Leave a few open like the ones here so the display isn’t just rows of closed flaps.
yellow flowers and draping
Last but definitely not least, we have this bright yellow floral canopy. The picture shows a decorated bench or seat rather than a bedroom, with hanging flower strands and a full arrangement overhead.
If you want to borrow the colors for your room, try yellow flowers on a side table with a matching backdrop. The green leaves are a lovely detail to keep.
