Looking for garden shed paint colors that make you want to spend a little more time outside? Soft sage, sunny yellow and deep plum give you plenty to choose from.
Even a simple shed looks lovely with a different door color or a few bright flowerpots.
You can keep things simple or go all out. I especially love the pastel combinations here, but the all-black shed is worth a look too!
Garden shed color ideas worth saving
soft sage and white
We’re starting off strong with this pretty sage green shed. I love the wide white trim around the door and that tilted-open side window.
The black hinges are a lovely little detail.

Pair a similar green with blue flowerpots if you want to bring in another color without painting the door differently.
muted red and deep green
Want something a little different from white trim? This muted red shed has a deep green door with matching edges around the walls and roof.
Keep the red on the walls, then try that darker green on the door frame too. It’s such a pretty pairing beneath the trees.

navy with a white roof edge
If you are looking for something simple, this one is for you. The walls and door are all navy blue, with white along the roof edge.
You don’t need a separate door color when the blue looks this good.
pale yellow and painted flowers
How cute is this little yellow shed? The painted flowers beside the door are my favorite part.
There are real pink blooms growing alongside it too!
Try a pale yellow base with creamy trim if you like this look. A few painted flowers would be a sweet extra touch, not something you have to add everywhere.

black from top to bottom
I am obsessed with this all-black shed. The double doors, wall trim and roof follow the same dark look, with silver-colored hinges standing out across the front.
Keep your planters black too if you want to follow this idea. The green plants already bring plenty of color.
bright yellow walls and doors
The yellow fans are going to love this! Instead of saving the brightest shade for the door, this shed has yellow across the walls and trim too.
I especially love the pink and purple flowers beside it. Try those colors in your planting if you want an equally colorful corner.
pale mint with a wreath
This pale mint shed may just be one of my favorites here. I love the wreath against the matching door, especially with the little brown pinecones.
The garden tools, boots and watering can make this feel like a well-used gardening spot. You don’t need to hide every practical thing to enjoy a pretty paint color.
olive green and brown accents
Don’t want to pair green with white? No problem! This shed has muted olive walls, dark brown roof trim and a reddish-brown window surround.
The matching brown flower box is so pretty beneath the black window grid. I’d keep that detail if you’re trying a similar combination.

beige with a white door
If you’re looking for a shed color that keeps things understated, go with beige walls and a white door like these. The white window frames match the door beautifully.
Add tall dark planters on either side if you like the arrangement here. Those green ferns are all the extra decoration I’d choose.
rust red and a green chair
How lovely is this rust-red shed? The door, window frame and flower box all follow the same color, with a yellow-brown roof above.
That faded green chair is such a good addition. Try a green seat or planter nearby if you want to borrow the pairing without adding a second paint color to your shed.
blush pink and pale blue
OMG, how adorable is this pink shed? I love the pale blue door and the little white rabbit shapes beneath the upper window.
There’s plenty of decoration here, from hanging lanterns to flower-filled pots. You can start with just the pink walls and blue door if you’d rather keep yours simpler.
sage with cream trim
This is another gorgeous sage green idea, but the cream trim gives you a slightly different combination. The heart hanging on the door is such a sweet little detail.
Keep the door green to match the walls, then add a flower box beneath the window. I love the red blooms mixed in with the paler flowers.
pale gray and blue-green doors
Don’t want to go overboard with color? This pale gray shed with blue-green double doors is a lovely place to start.
The same blue-green shade runs along the roof edge and corners.
The pink flowers beside the bench are just enough of an extra touch. I’d keep the surrounding furniture simple like this.
light green and a dusty blue door
I am in love with this dusty blue door. It looks so pretty against the light green walls, especially with the pink and purple flowers nearby.
If your shed is already green, try a blue door for a similar pairing. The copper-colored lantern above it is another detail worth saving.
muted green and a golden door
This is actually one of my favorite combinations on the list. The muted green walls sit beside a golden-toned door with visible grain and diagonal braces.
I love how the flower boxes match the walls rather than the door. Try that same green on your boxes if you want the pink blooms to be the colorful part.
light gray and white shutters
If you are looking for a simple neutral combination, this one is for you. Light gray walls and a matching door sit between white trim and white shutters.
The black lanterns and long door hinges finish it off. You could repeat those dark details rather than introducing another paint color.
butter yellow and blue windows
How sweet is this butter-yellow shed? I love the little blue window frames beside the open door.
The yellow is much softer than the bright shade earlier on the list.
Try pale blue on just your window frames if you want a small splash of a second color.
deep plum and pale trim
Looking for something darker that isn’t navy or black? This deep plum shed is such a pretty option.
The pale gray-beige door and window trim keep it from being dark all over.
The floral pattern in the windows is a lovely extra detail. I especially like it beside the small wall-mounted flowerpot.
weathered pale blue-green
I love this faded blue-green finish with the patchy gray and brown showing through. The door and narrow window frames have the same weathered look.
If you prefer this over a solid painted finish, save the picture as a color reference. The little round decoration under the roof is worth a closer look too.
gray walls and a sky-blue door
Last but definitely not least, we have this lovely gray shed with a sky-blue door. I am obsessed with the white window boxes!
They match the trim around the windows and doorway.
Keep the blue just on the front door if you want to follow this combination. The little orange pumpkins show how cute a brighter accent looks beside it.
