Looking for fabric gift wrapping ideas that are just as pretty as the gift itself? Think cream bows, colorful floral prints and little bells tucked beneath a knot.
These ideas include fully wrapped parcels plus a few ways to add a fabric bow to a plain box.
You can keep it simple or go all out with patterns. Start with a color you love, then decide whether your gift needs flowers, a little tag or nothing extra at all.
Pretty gift wraps to try
cream bow
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous cream parcel. I love the big rounded bow and the folds meeting beneath it.
There’s no extra ribbon or tag competing with that pretty shape.
If you want an understated look, stick to one color like this.
checked bow and greenery
Want the bow to do all the decorating? This black box has a huge tan bow edged in black-and-white checks, with frosted-looking greenery tucked behind it.
This is a bow accent rather than a fully cloth-wrapped gift. Try the same combination on a plain box if you don’t want to cover the whole thing.
gray and white stripes
Don’t want to start with a busy print? These narrow gray-and-white stripes are a lovely option.
The cloth is shown laid flat here, before any wrapping or tying.
For your own gift, you could pair this pattern with a white ribbon and a small tag. Keep the extras simple so you can still see those stripes.
navy knot and little bell
How cute is that little bell? The gold-colored detail sits just below the knot on this dark navy parcel.
I especially love the pointed ends standing up at the top.
Choose a small bell if you want to follow this look without hiding the knot.
tiny tied pouches
I am obsessed with these little pouches. The pink, blue and coral colors look so sweet beside the floral prints.
Try this idea for small boxed gifts, choosing red cord for a brighter finish or a neutral tie like the ones shown here.
red stripes and an orange slice
This striped bottle wrap may just be one of my favorites. I love the golden-brown bow with the orange slice hanging underneath.
The little green sprig is such a pretty extra touch.

Leave the gathered top showing above your ribbon to get that same shape.
pink bow and purple flowers
How pretty is this color combination? A pale pink bow sits over a white parcel, with purple flower stems running beneath the knot.
You don’t have to cover every part of your gift in cloth. A wide bow with long tails gives you plenty of that look on its own.
mixed floral prints
If you are looking for lots of pattern, then this one is for you. There are tiny white flowers on coral, colorful flowers on a pale background and larger blooms against navy.
I love how the navy shows on the tied ends. Keep a darker print near the knot if you’re planning a similar mix.
red and navy bandana wraps
These red and navy parcels are so cute together. The white motifs include bows, hearts and jewel shapes, with pointed corners hanging down the fronts.
Try a bandana-style wrap with a print you’d like to show off. Those wide front folds leave room to see it.
green wrap with a tall loop
This one has such a fun shape! The green and yellow-green wrap gathers into a knot at the front, with a tall loop rising above it.
Save this as shape inspiration if you want something different from a flat parcel and bow.
brown bands and small tags
Don’t want a big knot on top? These folded bundles take a different approach, with wide brown bands, thin tied bows and little white tags.
The cream, gray-blue and branching prints look lovely together. You could use the same band-and-tag idea to present a folded cloth as the gift itself.
green butterflies and a rosette
I am obsessed with this rose-shaped center. The green-and-white folds curl together like petals, with butterflies and leafy stems across the rest of the parcel.
This is one I’d leave without extra decorations. That little rosette already gives you something beautiful to look at.
white layers over blue flowers
The blue floral pattern peeking through the white outer wrap is so pretty. Here, the wide ends are being arranged above the gathered center.
If you want to try a layered look, choose an outer wrap that lets your inner pattern show. Pale blue and white would be a lovely place to start.
sage wrap and a floral ring
This is actually one of my favorite finishing touches on the list. A small ring decorated with pink and cream flowers sits against the sage-colored parcel.
The narrow blush ties cross behind it instead of forming a big bow. Try a little floral ring in place of your usual gift topper.
florals and bright citrus
How gorgeous are the pink flowers and green leaves on this wrap? The top holds peeled citrus with upright green leaves behind it, making the parcel look almost like a little fruit bouquet.
For your own version, I’d choose decorative citrus accents rather than putting peeled fruit directly on the wrapping.
a mix of Christmas prints
Can’t pick just one Christmas pattern? You don’t have to! This group mixes red, dark green, narrow stripes and little holiday motifs.
I love the pale star-shaped tags against the darker wraps. Repeat that small detail across a few gifts if you want to bring different prints together.

cream bows on brown paper
If you are looking for something simple and pretty, this one is for you. Brown paper parcels get wide cream bows with frayed edges and pale botanical accents.
The loose threads are part of the look here. Choose a similarly fringed ribbon if you like that less-polished finish.
blue stripes and green sprigs
Here is another lovely bottle-shaped wrapping idea. One bundle has long blue stripes, another has a blue band near the bottom and the third keeps things neutral.
The tied cord, small tags and green sprigs bring them together. You can mix your wraps without needing every bottle to match.
little leafy corners
Don’t want an all-over print? No problem!
These pale wraps have small leafy designs just on the ends, in dark green on one gift and red on the other.
I love how the decorated corners sit beyond the knots. Keep those details facing outward when arranging your own wrap.
red and green patchwork
Last but definitely not least, we have this cheerful red-and-green wrap. I love the mix of checks, tiny flowers and white starbursts.
The patterns meet around the central knot, with long green ends stretching out across the gift. There’s already so much to enjoy here that I’d skip an extra topper.
