You can keep it simple or go all out. Pick a theme you love, then borrow a few details for your space.
After-party themes and next-day brunch ideas
disco balls and trailing greenery
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous disco backdrop. I love the different-sized mirrored balls against the white curtains.
Those little reflections across the ceiling are so pretty.
Try a mix of trailing greenery and white flowers above your backdrop if you want this same garden-meets-disco look.
neon glow party
How fun is this? The bright balloons, colorful streamers and glowing floor outlines give you so much to work with.
I especially love the neon flower designs on the arms.
For your own homecoming version, swap the birthday photo frame for one with your school colors and a hoco message.
hollywood red carpet
Want to keep your dressy outfits on a little longer? This Hollywood entrance is such a cute way to do that.
A red runner leads between gold-colored posts toward sparkling gold curtains.
The red, black and gold balloons tie everything together. Borrow that color combination for your own entrance.
backyard bonfire and s’mores
If you’re looking for something a little more laid-back, this backyard mood board is for you. There are bowls of marshmallows, rows of chocolate and crackers, plus a whole burger-topping spread.
I love the string lights above the chairs. For your version, keep the blanket station and any hay-bale seating well away from the fire.
pink sparkle sleepover
I am obsessed with this pink sleepover setup. The glittery balloon bottoms and shiny pink pillows are just too cute together.
Arrange your sleeping spots around the room like these, then add a little snack basket in the middle. This is a lovely option if you’d rather put on pajamas after the dance.
balloon palm tree
Bring a little tropical inspiration indoors with a balloon palm tree. The oversized green fronds sit above a trunk made from clusters of dark balloons.
You don’t need a whole room of decorations to borrow this idea. I’d put one beside the snack table and add a few bright pink accents nearby.

carnival prop station
How cute is this little carnival detail? A clear vase holds a pile of red clown noses beside popcorn and striped treat sticks.
Try a prop station like this if you want a playful theme rather than another formal setup. The red, yellow and blue sign gives you your party colors right there.

navy balloons and gold stars
This starry backdrop may just be one of my favorites here. I love the silver crescent moon tucked into the navy balloons, with little gold stars scattered between them.
Use the same colors for a night-under-the-stars theme. A round pale backdrop keeps the middle open for your own homecoming message.
movie-night snack table
Don’t want to decorate the whole backyard? No problem!
This movie-night table keeps things simple with striped popcorn tubs and clear candy containers.
The light-up movie title is my favorite detail. Choose your own film for the sign, then line up a few sweet toppings with scoops beside the popcorn.
retro records and shiny fringe
The music fans are going to love this! Hanging records and shiny discs run down the hallway, with pink and silver fringe framing the entrance.
For a smaller version, decorate just the doorway to your party room. Add a throwback playlist to turn those retro decorations into a whole theme.
pink karaoke corner
I love this heart-shaped karaoke sign with the little microphone drawing. The pink lighting and draped curtains make even this small corner feel like part of the party.
Set up your own singing spot with a sign like this and a list of songs guests can choose from. Duets would be a fun place to start.
red and black masquerade
If you are looking for something a little dramatic, then this one is for you. This masquerade mood board has red curtains, decorative masks and ornate gold-colored frames.
I especially love the framed mirror detail. Borrow the red-and-black palette for a photo corner and set out masks for anyone who wants one.
waffles and berries
Who wouldn’t want to come back for waffles? This hoco brunch spread pairs a long board of waffles, little pancakes and berries with doughnuts, croissants and sandwiches.

You can keep your version smaller. I’d start with the waffle-and-fruit board and put any decorative flowers in a separate vase beside it.
bagel breakfast board
Don’t want to go all out with lots of different pastries? Try a bagel board instead.
Here, the bagels run through the middle with sliced strawberries, bananas and berries tucked around them.
Set your chosen spreads in little bowls with their own utensils. Add labels so guests don’t have to guess what’s inside.

mini pancake stacks
How adorable are these little pancake stacks? Each one has a berry on top and a pick through the middle.
The berry-covered waffles behind them are just as cute.
This is a pretty way to arrange breakfast in individual portions rather than one big pile.
layered breakfast cups
If you’re looking for a neat little addition to your brunch table, go with layered breakfast cups. These have a granola-looking base, a white creamy layer and berries on top.
For your own version, try yogurt with granola and strawberries. I love how the two-tier stand lets you see the cups in the back too.
muffins and colorful fruit
This is a simple breakfast spread worth saving. The muffins are cut into smaller pieces, with strawberries, orange slices and a bowl of blueberries on the tray above.
The yellow flowers are such a pretty extra touch. Keep yours beside the serving dishes if you want to follow this setup.
lavender table and bouquets
I am obsessed with the flowers across this lavender-covered table. There’s such a pretty mix of purple, white, pink and yellow beneath the homecoming brunch sign.
If flowers are your favorite part of decorating, let them be the theme. A separate table like this gives the bouquets their own spot away from breakfast.
brunch and bouquets
Here’s another floral idea, but this one gives you an activity to try too. Tall white buckets hold different flowers beneath a pink-and-yellow brunch-and-bouquets banner.
Set out stems for guests to choose from and make their own small bunches. I love the painted bows on the sign.
Keep those if you’re making a banner for your year.
pink and yellow coffee bar
Last but definitely not least, we have this adorable coffee-bar setup. The pink wavy border and yellow stripes on the sign look so cute above the drink dispensers.
Borrow the syrup station and framed menu for your own brunch. You could offer iced coffee alongside a caffeine-free choice, with labels on each filled dispenser.
