Looking for track and field coach gift ideas that feel a little more personal? A named clipboard, a signed team print or a little running charm gives you a lovely place to start.
There are simple thank-you gifts here, plus ideas the whole team could contribute to.
You can keep things small or choose a bigger keepsake. A few pictures show gifts for other sports, so those need adapting rather than copying exactly.
Let your coach’s events and your team colors guide you.

Coach gifts with a personal touch
enjoy the journey keychain
We’re starting off with this sweet little running keychain. I love the “enjoy the journey” message beside the shoe charm and round number tag.
For your own version, choose a number that means something to your coach rather than copying the pictured 36.
team-name relay baton
How lovely is this idea for a relay coach? The bronze-colored baton has pale lettering along the side with a small mascot graphic near the top.
Use this as inspiration for a baton displaying your school name and team logo. A short thank-you card from the relay squad would be a nice addition.
running-print clipboard
This clipboard may just be one of my favorites here. The black shoe prints are so fun with the red coach’s name and “Live. Love. Run.” lettering.
If you want to follow this design, keep the large footprints and ask for your coach’s name in your team color.
sprinter slogan keychain
Got a coach who also sprints? This gray round keychain reads “I’m the sprinter your coach warned you about.”
The bold black lettering keeps the design simple.
The message is written for an athlete, so I’d only choose this one if that joke actually fits your coach.
signed track thank-you print
I love how this print brings different parts of track and field together. Track lanes, a throwing implement, winged shoes and a hurdle fill the picture panels, with names surrounding them.
Try a similar layout with your coach’s name below the pictures. Leave plenty of white space for the team to sign.
blue ribbon drinkware
The little blue rosettes are cute, but this picture is horse-themed. The bottles and cups have horse-parent and trainer messages, so these exact designs aren’t a match for a track coach.
For a track version, I’d borrow the blue-and-white colors and choose running graphics with a coach thank-you message instead.
a wall of medals
Look at all those colorful ribbons! This display has medals hanging along a wall-mounted rod, with bows grouped at the right.
It’s a cheer-related example rather than a track display.
A medal holder could still be a thoughtful gift if your coach has their own medals to display. Check that they actually want one before choosing it.

winged-shoe tee
Don’t want to go all out with a personalized keepsake? This black tee with a large white winged shoe is a simple idea to start with.
The pictured outfit keeps the graphic front and center. I’d follow that straightforward design and check your coach’s preferred size before buying.
signed cross-country plaque
The signatures are my favorite part of this plaque. They surround a large XC arrow graphic, with a name, team and year below.
This is a cross-country design, so it makes the most sense for a coach who works with that team too. For track only, choose an event-specific graphic and a coach-focused message.
shoe-shaped word art
How clever is this? Black lettering forms the shape of a track shoe, right down to the little spikes underneath.
Use the idea for a personalized print with your team name and a few words your athletes associate with their coach. I’d keep the plain background so you can see the shoe shape clearly.
gold-winged shoe trophy
Give your coach a little award of their own with a winged-shoe trophy. I love the gold-colored wings and laces against the black-and-white shoe.
The front plate is blank in this picture. A short thank-you message and your team’s name would be a lovely way to finish a similar gift.
personalized coach whistle
If you are looking for something small and personal, this one is for you. The silver-colored whistle has a coach’s name on the side and a black neck cord.
Keep the lettering simple like this example. You don’t need a long quote to make the gift feel specific to your coach.
running quote photo frame
This frame has a little attitude, haha! Beside the runner’s photo, the white lettering reads “My sport is your sport’s punishment.”
It’s a running and cross-country example with an athlete-focused quote. If that humor suits your coach, you could pair a similar frame with a team photo rather than an individual race picture.

thank-you heart keychain
How sweet is this little heart charm? It sits beside a round tag that reads “a great Coach is hard to find and impossible to forget.”
This is a lovely choice if you want the message to be about your coach rather than a particular event. Add your own note about something they helped you learn.
javelin silhouette
Don’t want another running-shoe design? This black-and-white javelin illustration gives you an idea for a throws coach instead.
The picture shows a graphic, not a finished gift. I’d use a licensed or original event illustration as the starting point for a print with your coach’s name underneath.
track-themed candy bouquet
I am obsessed with the little track sign tucked between the treats. The pictured arrangement combines packaged candy, gum, star decorations and a name tag in a black cup.
Try your coach’s favorite snacks with ribbons in your team colors. Check food preferences and allergies before putting your version together.
blue name bottle
The big vertical name is my favorite detail on this blue bottle. It also has a black lid and a basketball graphic, so the pictured design is for a different sport.
For your track coach, look for a version with their name and a relevant event symbol. Keep the bright blue if it matches your team.
signed coach photo frame
This is such a lovely group-gift idea. A photo sits in the middle of a wide white border filled with handwritten messages beneath a “Coach of the Year” heading.
The pictured frame is for a soccer coach. Adapt the idea with a track team photo, the correct season and short notes from your athletes.

tiger mascot trophy
If you are looking for a bold mascot idea, take a look at this tiger. The shaped trophy has a large tiger head above dark lettering and a stepped base.
There are rackets in this design, so this exact trophy doesn’t fit track and field. A separate design featuring your team mascot and a track-related symbol would be the direction to explore.
red lettering and footprints
Last but definitely not least, we have another version of the footprint clipboard. I love the bright red name against the clear background!
The black prints frame the name and “Live. Love. Run.” message.
This one follows the same idea as the earlier clipboard. Choose the name layout you prefer, then pair your gift with a handwritten team card.
