Here’s a tip nobody tells you: the quote print works better than the pep talk sometimes! You can walk past it fifty times a day and it just quietly does its job.
That’s the whole appeal of these little reminders. No lecture, no advice, just a few words hanging on the wall or stuck to a water bottle.
I scrolled through hundreds of pins to put this list together. Most got tossed for being cheesy or impossible to actually recreate at home.
What’s left are the ones that look good on a real wall, not just a styled photo shoot. Prints, decals, desk signs, even a candle label made the cut!
Some of these you can print yourself in ten minutes. Others need a frame or a little paint. I’ve noted which is which under each one.
Grab whichever one hits hardest right now and let’s get into it, shall we?
ENCOURAGING QUOTES FOR HARD TIMES
Watercolor Print This Too Shall Pass
We’re starting off strong with this watercolor print. Soft blues and pinks bleed into each other behind the words, so it never feels heavy.
I’ve caught myself staring at it every time I visit, waiting for coffee. She reads it every single morning on her way out the door. Some habits are just hard to argue with, lol!
- The hallway pick
- Prints fine on regular paper
- Looks bigger framed than the file suggests
Framed Scripture For Difficult Seasons
Framed scripture pieces never go out of style. This one leans on a verse about strength through struggle.
I always hunt these frames at thrift stores instead of buying new. A coat of white paint and it looks brand new. My wallet thanks me every time, lol!
- The thrift flip
- Any thrifted frame works
- Verse fits a five by seven insert
Hand Lettered Storm Will Pass
This hand lettered storm quote is the kind of thing you stare at longer than you meant to. The brush strokes look messy on purpose, which somehow makes it feel more honest.
I’ve tried copying lettering styles like this before and mine always come out looking like a ransom note, haha! This one though, it’s genuinely so pretty!
- Worth the extra ink
- Brush pen does the heavy lifting
- Looks great in black and white too
Desk Sign Better Days Coming
A desk sign that says better days are coming is basically a tiny pep talk you can glance at between emails.
This one fits next to a monitor without crowding it. I stole the idea for my own desk within a week. She swears it gets her through Mondays!
Mountain Landscape With Courage Quote
How so pretty is this mountain landscape? The courage quote sits small at the bottom so the scenery still gets to be the star.
Something about mountains and hard days just go together. Who doesn’t love a good climbing metaphor? Maybe it’s just easier to believe on a wall than in real life.
- The scenery steal
- Print size fits a standard frame
- Muted palette matches almost any room
Journal Page For Rough Days
A journal page made for rough days is exactly what it sounds like. Prompts on one side, blank lines on the other, no pressure to write anything fancy.
I keep a stack of these tucked in a kitchen drawer for whenever a day goes sideways. Cheap paper, big comfort! It’s the kind of thing you forget about until you desperately need it.
Bold Typography She Is Strong
Bold typography saying she is strong does not mess around. The letters are thick and the message is louder than a whisper.
Honestly it fits her personality perfectly!
- No subtlety required
- Downloadable in three sizes
- Bold font stays legible from across a room
Warrior Woman Silhouette Quote Print
This warrior woman silhouette print is dramatic in the best way. The shape stands tall against a sunset gradient and the quote runs along the bottom edge.
It reads like a strength quotes women collection all on its own. I glance at mine and somehow feel a little taller!
Floral Wall Art Fierce Woman
Floral wall art with a fierce woman quote sounds like a contradiction, but it works. Soft flowers, tough words, an odd combo that somehow lands.
I told her it looked strange there and she ignored me completely. She says it feels like the flowers are backing her up, lol!
- Soft meets fierce
- Comes in warm and cool color options
- Frame not included at most print shops
Minimalist Poster Strong Woman Quote
Minimalist posters do a lot with very little. This strong woman quote print proves it. Plain background, one line of text, done.
I used to think simple meant boring, but this changed my mind completely. No shame in loving less, apparently! Who knew one sentence could carry so much weight?
Marathon Runner Keep Going Print
Talk about motivation! This marathon runner print pairs a keep going quotes line with a silhouette mid stride.
It’s the print I’d hang in a hallway leading to the front door. Right where you see it on the way out for a run.
- The morning nudge
- Fits gym hallway or home office
- Print quality holds up in humidity
Staircase Wall Decal Keep Climbing
A staircase wall decal that says keep climbing turns an ordinary hallway into a little daily reminder. Each step gets its own word.
I tried this in my own stairwell last spring. Lining up that first step took way more patience than skill. The rest just followed after that.
- One step at a time, literally
- Removable vinyl for renters
- Best applied on painted drywall
Neon Sign Never Give Up
Neon signs used to feel like a diner thing, but this never give up one changes that completely. It glows soft pink in a dim room. Honestly it looks incredible on a shelf!
Now it stares at me from her desk every time I walk past her room.
Sticky Note You Got This
A sticky note that says you got this is such a small thing, but it’s mighty. Stick one on a mirror or a laptop and forget it’s even there until you need it.
I still keep every single one! Same!
Exam Desk Card You Got This
An exam desk card with you got this quotes printed on it is the kind of thing a whole classroom needs every finals week.
I helped her print a batch last spring and got roped into grading too. She says the room actually gets quieter. Small gesture, apparently a big effect!
- The finals week save
- Prints four to a page
- Cardstock holds up better than plain paper
Water Bottle Sticker You Got This
Water bottle stickers are such an easy way to carry a little encouragement around all day. This you got this design is bold enough to actually read from across a room.
I stick mine low near the base so it survives the dishwasher longer. It still faded after a month, but I got my money’s worth, lol!
- Survives the gym bag
- Vinyl holds up outdoors
Rainbow After Storm Quote Print
Is it really a tough season without a rainbow after the storm somewhere in the mix? Not in my book! This print leans into that image without feeling corny. If you were hunting for tough times quotes, this one is a keeper!
Muted watercolor tones keep it from looking like a kid’s room, which I appreciate. Who doesn’t want their decor to feel a little more grown up?
Candle Label This Too Passes
Last but definitely not least, this candle label reading this too passes might be the coziest item on the whole list. How cute is this?
I printed one, wrapped it around a plain jar candle and lit it on a rough night. Something about the flicker and the words together just worked. My whole mood shifted by the time it burned down, haha!
- The rough night ritual
- Label wraps a standard jar candle
- Waterproof paper survives wax drips
