20 Bride Winter Outfits With Pretty Capes, Coats and Bridal Layers

Looking for bride winter outfits with a little something extra? Think cream wraps, dramatic capes and even a white suit with a birdcage veil.

These looks include wedding-day gowns plus a few simpler ideas you could borrow for your other bridal celebrations.

You can keep things simple or go all out. I especially love the long coats and touches of deep green.

Winter bridal outfit ideas to save

cream wrap and a low bun

We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous cream wrap. I love the fluffy bands around the arms and the simple white dress showing underneath.

Try a low bun like this one if you want to keep your hair away from the wide neckline. The pale pink flowers are such a pretty extra touch.

sculpted jacket and oversized scarf

This jacket may just be one of my favorites here. I love the rounded sleeves and fitted waist with the long, narrow skirt.

Drape a wide white scarf around your shoulders to try the same look. Let one end hang down the side rather than tucking everything in.

white stole and long gloves

I am obsessed with this glove pairing. The gathered white gloves look so pretty beneath the fluffy stole, plus those little drop earrings are gorgeous.

A small pendant necklace is all I’d add at the neckline. There’s already plenty to love here.

high wrap and sheer sleeves

If you like a covered neckline, this one is for you. The fuzzy white wrap sits high around the neck while the sheer sleeves show beneath it.

I especially love the fine vertical pleats and the curved seam across the skirt. They give you something pretty to look at without adding sparkle.

fluffy coat and a little bag

How cute is that little white bag? The wispy trim looks so fun next to the oversized collar and wide cuffs of the cream coat.

Try statement drop earrings if you want another dressy detail. The clear umbrella is also worth saving as an accessory idea for outdoor photos.

white hooded cape

If you are looking for a full-length bridal layer, then this one is for you. The white cape has a hood resting behind the shoulders and fluffy trim running down the front.

I love the little leafy hair accessory peeking out above the collar. You don’t need a large headpiece with a cape like this.

floral sleeves and a full skirt

The floral details on this gown are absolutely gorgeous. They cover the long sheer sleeves and continue down the full skirt right to the scalloped hem.

If you want to follow this look, try an updo so the neckline stays visible. I’d let the dress be the main decoration here.

draped ivory neckline

Don’t want to add sparkle or a big fluffy collar? No problem there!

This ivory look pairs a long, simple dress with a wrap draped high across the shoulders.

The loose folds around the neckline are my favorite part. Save this one for a pared-back reception outfit.

deep green gown

Who says your bridal outfit has to be white? This deep green gown is so pretty with its plunging neckline, long sleeves and trailing skirt.

I love the sparkling hair clip against the side-swept hair. Try a similar clip if you want a little shine without adding a necklace.

pale floral strapless gown

This is another gorgeous option if you want something beyond plain white. The pale gray floral pattern runs across the fitted bodice and down the flared skirt.

For your own version, you could pair it with a plain ivory coat. I’d skip a patterned outer layer and let those flowers stand out.

white suit and birdcage veil

I am obsessed with this bridal suit. The white blazer and matching trousers look so good with the short birdcage veil.

Add a white headband and a structured bag to try the same combination. The little gold-colored chain on the bag is a lovely finishing detail.

plunging white jumpsuit

If you’re looking for an alternative to a gown, go with a white jumpsuit like this. It has a deep V neckline, a defined waistband and wide legs.

Those pockets are such a nice detail! A delicate headpiece keeps the look bridal without covering the neckline.

white sweater and beige boots

How cute is this for a casual bridal celebration? The oversized white sweater sits over a short ruffled hem, with tall pointed beige boots underneath.

The cable pattern gives the top plenty of detail already. I’d keep the small pendant necklace and leave the rest simple.

cropped jacket and long veil

This is actually one of my favorite shorter bridal looks. The fluffy white jacket sits above a slim midi-length skirt with a slit, while pointed ankle boots show below.

Then there’s that long veil! Keep it if you want a little drama without choosing a floor-length dress.

long coat and sparkling skirt

If you are looking for a true statement outfit, then this one is for you. There’s a sparkling full skirt, a sweeping white coat and a large fluffy collar.

I love the matching cuffs and the small sparkling fastening at the waist. Leave the coat open below that point to show the gown underneath.

gray top and pale skirt

The gray and pale skirt pairing is so pretty in this outfit. The long-sleeved top folds across the shoulders above a full, layered skirt.

If you want a different accessory idea, try a flower-decorated hoop like the one here instead of a traditional bouquet.

white hat and fluffy cuffs

I love this vintage-style bridal look. The rounded fluffy hat has a large white flower at the front, with matching fluffy cuffs above the gloves.

The scalloped off-the-shoulder neckline is gorgeous too. Try the hat with a simpler gown if you want to borrow just one detail.

long white coat and tall boots

Last but definitely not least, we have this long white coat with an oversized fluffy collar and matching cuffs. I love how the open front reveals the patterned dress underneath.

The tall white boots have cutout details and open toes. For your own snowy setting, choose closed-toe footwear with weather-appropriate grip instead.
